Amazing chicken fried steak and you could tell everything was made fresh and from scratch. Delicious! Amazing friendly service too. Couldn’t have asked for a better lunch while driving through! I’d come back again!!!
After leaving Lubbock coming back to amarillo from a day surgery, I needed some soup and my wife needed lunch. That was the best place we could have stopped granted we took it Togo but I had the chicken and dumplings soup, my wife had fried green tomatoes(which should loved) with a BLT and sweet potato fries. We both loved it and the soup hit the spot for me glad I got two, one for dinner when we got home. Just what we needed good and tasty home cooked food.
My mom and I went to the Cotton Patch In Plainview last night. We ordered the half order of the chicken fried steak. My mom go a regular size but mine was about so tiny that the serving bowls for the sides was bigger. The mashed potatoes were cold and nasty, okra was okay but not very hot. My mom got the broccoli rice casserole and it was also cold. Our waitress was very sweet and had to even ask for gravy on our mashed potatoes. This makes us very sad because the Cotton Patch is usually the only decent place to eat in Plainview. It's going down hill very fast! Not sure I will ever go back!!
The food was great. The service was friendly but it was a little slow. Other then that it was an amazing experience.
